I purchases paddy and wheat directly, can anybody explain how does GST will affect me?

I am a food grains trader, I purchases paddy and wheat directly? from farmers and sell to registered milles, i pays mandi shulk on purchases. I also pay UP VAT Can anybody explain how does GST will affect me?

Purchase tax (VAT) on agricultural products will get subsumed in GST. however other statutory charges that are levied on food grains by local govt. like rural development fee,market(mandi)fee,infrastructure development tax and commission to agents etc. may continue in the new regime.

Food grains and pulses are exempted under gst. but if u are doing interstate business then get registered.

If these are exempt from gst then wheather there is still an obligation to file any return?

Dear kamalesh, u no need of get registered under gst as u r trading in exempted goods unless if u r dng Interstate trade. hence u r not required to file any returns untill u get registered.

Mahesh ji, i have migrated my business to gst, the turnover of my business is more than 4 crores, still no need to file any return under gst?
